KGF Chapter 2 is continuing to stay steady at the box office as the film collected Rs. 19 to Rs. 20 crores on Tuesday to take the six day total collection closer to Rs. 240 crore. The movie is all set to hit the Rs. 250 crore mark on Wednesday to take the opening weekend total in the range of Rs. 255 crore plus.
After a record breaking weekend of Rs. 190 crore, the film is seeing a day to day drop in the range of 15 to 20 percent. While for any other film, this would have been a reason to worry, but for KGF 2, the job is done in the opening weekend itself. It's a frontloaded film catering to the men, and that audience will come back to the cinema halls again on the weekend.
The drop on weekdays is not alarming as even after seeing the relatively big drops on the percentage front, the collections are super solid. The movie is expected to chase down Dangal (Rs. 375 crore) and emerge the 2nd highest grossing film of all time in the Hindi belts, only behind Bahubali 2 (Rs. 511 crore). In terms of ROI, KGF Chapter 2 is already a blockbuster within the first 3 days run and it's now on the journey to just keep its profit rolling by the day.
The movie will face competition from Jersey in the 2nd week, but the Shahid Kapoor film won't hamper the prospects as the two films cater to different segments of audience. In-fact, there is a high possibility of KGF 2 clocking bigger numbers in its second weekend as compared to Jersey in its first.
