Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Box Office: Salman Khan’s film enters Rs. 100 Crore Club, aims to cross Jai Ho next

After playing in theatres for 10 days, the Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club. It has taken a while for the film to reach here since pre-pandemic it was an entirely different scenario where Salman Khan starrers were scoring as much in their opening weekend itself. However, these are different times and hence the kind of momentum that was evidenced for films in 2019 or before is just not coming in. Yes, there are exceptions like Pathaan or Brahmastra but then those have a different kind of pitch and aren’t regular affairs.

This can be seen in the way how collections are coming for the Farhad Samji directed film in the second weekend, what with Sunday collections staying low at Rs. 3.50 crores. For a big holiday release, one would have been expecting a double digit score at the bare minimum on second Sunday but then that has hardly happened for any film during last 18 odd months ever since Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi opened theatres again in Diwali 2021. Hence, nothing really surprises about movies anymore when it comes to the way they collect at the box office.

As for the overall numbers for the film, it has collected Rs. 101.46 crores* so far and it would be interesting to see how the weekdays turn out to be. At the bare minimum, all associated with the film would be hoping that the collections stay over the Rs. 1 crore mark at least during all the weekdays because that would set up for an open weekend ahead. The lowest score for a Salman Khan century is Jai Ho [Rs. 115 crores] and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan would be aiming to up that score at least in its lifetime run.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
