\We had earlier reported that a new series titled Bambai Meri Jaan starring actors Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, among others, will be dropping on Prime Video. The makers on Monday took to social media to announce that it will release on September 14.
The show will also star Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles.
Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassin Jagmagia, Farhan Akhtar serve as executive producers, while it is created by Rensil D'Silva and Shujaat Saudagar. Rensil D’Silva is known for directing Kurbaan (2009) and served as a dialogue and screenplay writer on the cult classic Rang De Basanti (2006). Shujaat Saudagar is known for helming Rock On!! 2.
The 10-part series will be a crime drama. The official synopsis reads, “The series explores the classic, universal battle of good versus evil. Set in the post-independence era, the story chronicles the life and rise of a young man, Dara Kadri (played by Tiwary), torn between his father’s law enforcement legacy (played by Menon) and his own journey into the heart of organized crime.”
The series is produced by Excel Media and Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmagia and Farhan Akhtar.
