Actor Akhil Mishra, who has worked in films like 3 Idiots and Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain, has died following an accident in the kitchen. The late actor was 67.
As per an IANS report, a source was quoted that the actor was found injured on the floor in the kitchen and died in the hospital. The body has been taken for autopsy. His wife, Suzanne, was away shooting in Hyderabad when the incident happened.
Born in 1965, Akhil Mishra has worked in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Gandhi, My Father and television serials such as Pradhanmantri. In 3 Idiots, he played cameo role of Librarian Dubey. However he gained popularity through his role Umed Singh Bundela in Uttaran starring Tina Datta, Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu.
Akhil was first married to Manju Mishra in 1983 who shared screen space in his first feature film Dhat Tere...Ki in 1983 and a serial Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn. After Manju’s death in 1997, he got married to German actress Suzanne Bernert in February 2009.
