Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan has raised Rs 240.47 crore worldwide gross in two days, the makers said on Saturday.
The pan-India film, directed by filmmaker Atlee, was released worldwide on Thursday in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. "In just two days a 'handsome' Rs 240.47 crore worldwide gross box office collection," the production house Red Chillies Entertainment posted on its official social media pages.
Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dongra, among others. Deepika Padukone makes a cameo appearance in the film.
A commercial action drama, Jawan features Khan as a father and son who team up to destroy the forces that plague society. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film. Jawan also features cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben.
