Papa Meri Jaan, the new song from the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Sung by Sonu Nigam, the song delves into the emotional connection between the father-son characters portrayed by Ranbir and Anil Kapoor.
The lyrics for the song have been penned by Raj Shekhar and it has been composed by Harshvardhan Rameshwar.
The music video explores the relationship between Ranbir and Anil in the film. Anil is seen to be an absent father, while a young Ranbir adores and worships him. When Ranbir, along with Rashmika Mandanna’s Geetanjali, goes to meet him, they are asked to wait outside his office. Their relationship is shown in different timelines ultimately leading up to Ranbir’s character being ready to take revenge for an attack on his father.
Previously two more tracks from the film Hua Main and Satranga, have been released by the makers.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is backed by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
The crime-drama is slated to release in theatres on December 1.
