Pankaj Tripathi's Kadak Singh to premiere at The International Film Festival of India

The OTT platform ZEE5, on Wednesday, announced that their upcoming direct-to-digital film with Pankaj Tripathi in the lead, Kadak Singh, is all set to have a premiere at the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury (Pink, 2016; Lost, 2023), the mystery thriller also stars Sanjana Sanghi.

The 54th International Film Festival of India is all set to take place in Goa from November 20 to 28.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “The movie follows the perplexing journey of AK Shrivastav (Pankaj Tripathi) as he battles retrograde amnesia, uncovering a web of conflicting narratives from his past. Amidst the process of piecing together his life, the film delves into his quest to expose the truth behind a significant financial crime.”

Talking about the film, director Aniruddha previously shared, “Kadak Singh is a special film and talks about the responsibility of one government official towards the common people. Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjana Sanghi have done a fabulous job of portraying this complex father-daughter story. The film is about a dysfunctional family coming on their own after a series of events leading to a rollercoaster of emotions.”

While the film’s release is yet to be announced, it is expected to drop on ZEE5 later this year.
