Shah Rukh Khan explains the meaning of Dunki, shares a glimpse of film’s new song ‘O Maahi’

Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to share a sneak peek into Dunki’s song ‘O Maahi’. In the post, the actor also explained the meaning of the word ‘Dunki’.

“Because everybody asks, what does Dunki mean? Dunki means being apart from your loved ones. And when you are with them, one feels the moment should last till the end of time. O Maahi O Maahi….feel the love before the sun sets on the horizon today!,” he captioned the post.

The song’s promotional video will be the film’s ‘Drop 5’. In the brief glimpse of the music video, SRK can be seen doing his signature wide-arm pose in a desert.

While the teaser was ‘Drop 1’ video unit of the film, ‘Drop 2’ was the song ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’. ‘Drop 3’ was a Sonu Nigam number ‘Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se’ and ‘Drop 4’ was the film’s trailer.

Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochchar, Anil Grover and Boman Irani.

The film is a JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan. It has been written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani and Kanika Dhillon. It will hit the theatres on December 21.
